Research interests
My interest is in using seaweeds as a resource to produce bioethanol. We are developing bioprocesses using marine derived microorganisms to convert biomass into biofuels. Our research will help to develop new sustainable energy processes and make a contribution in our efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. I am also doing my PhD thesis while working on this project. This will be on finding ways to use the alginate content of brown seaweeds for bioethanol production.
I work full time on the BioMara project.
