IT and Data Support Analyst

Description of expertise and work

Although I am originally from Croatia, I arrived in Scotland in 2009 after spending ten years in Alaska at the Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska, Fairbanks. I specialize in Information Technology (IT) development and support, focusing on university level research, outreach, and teaching activities.

My expertise ranges from every day desktop support for Windows/OS-X/Linux/iOS end-users, system administration of Linux and Windows servers, to designing and implementing complex data storage, processing, and displaying solutions using the latest IT tools available (such as databases, web design, programming in php, javascript, perl, python, ruby, Xcode, etc.).

I also actively participate in teaching at SAMS, designing and delivering courses and seminars for our researchers, students, staff, and continued professional development visitors.
