  • Investigate oil production and profile in the diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum under different growth conditions 
  • Determine and evaluate suitable housekeeping genes for use in lipid synthesis gene expression work in Phaeodactylum tricornutum
  • Development of gene probes for the selection of microalgal strains for oil production potential
